Iraqi women collect salt at a natural salt marsh
near Kut, central Iraq, May 15, 2003. The salt
deposits are used in the production of dry salt
and salt in brine, and are often found adjacent
to oil fields, where geologists use the presence
of the salt as a locator for drilling.
